The IBS Network Annual General Meeting

The IBS Network held its Annual General Meeting on Monday 15 November 2021.

Thank you to everyone who attended. The meeting was an opportunity to reflect on the charity’s achievements over the past year.

Although it has been another challenging year with the pandemic, the charity has supported more people living with IBS than ever before. Membership has significantly increased, and the charity received record numbers of enquiries from people struggling with their IBS.

The core team worked hard to make sure that we were there for everyone who needed our help.

The current services to members include the telephone helpline staffed by IBS trained nurses; a website that includes ask the experts; a ‘Can’t Wait’ card and international travel card; Gut Reaction, the charity’s quarterly magazine, and a growing library of gut friendly recipes.

Members also receive various offers for probiotics, frequent communications from the team, and access to the advice and support of trusted professionals including dietitians, pharmacists and gastroenterologists.

Looking to the future, the charity and its team are committed to continuing the important work of The IBS Network.

The priority, as the national charity supporting people living with IBS, is to raise awareness of the condition to help break down the taboos and to continue to support members and the wider IBS community beyond the pandemic and into better times.
