The information published on The IBS Network website is provided as a service to users, to be used for informational purposes only.
While we have tried to provide accurate and timely information, there may be technical or factual inaccuracies and typographical errors, for which we apologise and we accept no liability for any inaccuracies or omissions on our website to the extent permitted by law. We reserve the right to make changes and corrections at any time, without notice.

The IBS Network web site is an internet service published by The IBS Network using the site the user automatically accepts our Terms and Conditions. We may change and republish the Terms and Conditions from time to time. It is up to the user to regularly review these Terms and Conditions and note any changes. Continued use of the site after a change has been made indicates the user’s acceptance of those changes.

Any material found within The IBS Network web site, including text or images may not be copied, reproduced, republished, downloaded, posted, broadcast or transmitted without the express permission of The IBS Network, where upon, if approved, the appropriate licence may be granted.

We may publish links to external independent websites, however,The IBS Network cannot be held responsible for the content of those web sites. By linking to other websites does not indicate that The IBS Network agrees with any claims, statements or opinions published by those sites.The IBS Network shall not be responsible for an external site loading within the frameset of The IBS Network website - if users encounter this they should contact The IBS Network webmaster immediately with as much information as possible, including the pages they were viewing immediately prior to the event.

The IBS Network - Terms & Conditions
Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully before using the service managed by us, The IBS Network.  Your access to, and use of the service, is conditional to your acceptance of, and compliance with, these terms.  These terms apply to all who use our service.

By accessing or using the service you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you disagree with any part of the terms and conditions then you may not access the service.

Membership Benefits
Membership benefits include our:
•    Helpline, staffed by nurses trained in the symptoms of IBS.  This helpline is available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings between 7pm-9pm
•    ‘Ask the Experts’ page on our website enabling you to submit questions and receive a personal reply from our specialist healthcare professionals
•    Self-Care Programme and Symptom Tracker which will help you to manage your condition
•    recipes 
•    wider community of support and advice
•    quarterly magazine Gut Reaction filled with new research, recipes and articles written by our medical professionals and members
and:
•    a range of specific detailed information presented as factsheets
•    a ‘Can’t Wait’ card and an international travel version translated into 12 languages (£5 value)
•    access to our Support Groups

You accept that you cannot pass off the material or information on our website or resources as your own.  We will make every effort to ensure that the information on our website is accurate.  However, we cannot guarantee this and accept no liability for any incorrect information featured on our website, factsheets or publications.  

Our service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by The IBS Network.  By linking to other websites, this does not indicate that The IBS Network agrees with any claims, statements or opinions published by those sites.  The IBS Network assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party websites or services.  You further agree that The IBS Network will not be responsible or liable for any damage caused by, or in connection with, the third-party websites or services. 


You accept that you will not print and distribute the content and resources of The IBS Network to those without a valid membership.  
You accept that any questions you submit via the ‘Ask the Experts’ page will be made public to other members (published anonymously), for the purpose of helping others.  Your question will not be published on the website until it has been answered.   Once made public it cannot be removed unless the content is deemed inappropriate, offensive or in breach of personal details.  The IBS Network can remove or edit your questions on a discretionary basis at any time without prior notice. To request a question or answer be removed from the website, please contact The IBS Network office.
Questions submitted to our healthcare professionals will aim to be answered within seven days, however, this is not guaranteed.  Questions will be answered in the date order they are received.

‘Can’t Wait’ Card


As part of membership you will receive a ‘Can’t Wait’ card (value £5).  This will be posted to you in your new member welcome pack sent by 2nd class post.  
The ‘Can’t Wait’ card cannot be refunded for its value from the cost of membership.  

Membership Type


Online Membership - you will be asked to create login details including your email address and a password, which you will use to access member exclusive content online.  The IBS Network does not accept any responsibility for the security of your password or your membership account. 
As an online member you will receive our quarterly magazine Gut Reaction via email and will not be eligible for paper copies.


Paper Membership - we will deliver our quarterly magazine Gut Reaction to the address you have provided.  The IBS Network are not responsible for failure to deliver the magazines if you have supplied us with an incorrect address or have failed to notify us of a change of address.


Membership Contract
By becoming a member, you are agreeing to pay the membership fee of £24.00 for online membership or £34.00 for paper membership. This donation may be paid in one instalment or a direct debit should be set up before membership can begin. 
If you have joined as an online member, acknowledgement that your application has been received and is being processed does not yet mean that the contract between us is formed.  The contract is formed on the date The IBS Network receives your payment.  If you have joined over the telephone, or you have completed a paper application; the contract between us will be formed when payment is processed.  
If we do not receive payment, we will suspend or terminate your membership immediately until payment is received.
At the point of renewal of your membership, your payment is confirmation of the continued acceptance of this contract.


Direct Debit
To pay for membership by direct debit we require you to complete a direct debit instruction specifying how often you wish to make payments either monthly, quarterly or annually.  To pay by direct debit you agree to pay for a minimum of 12 months.  If your instruction is to pay annually and you choose to cancel your membership after you have paid, you will not be eligible for a refund of any unused months membership.


Refund
We offer a fourteen working days’ cooling off period for new members, effective from the day your application is accepted.
Your membership will be for a minimum of 12 months.  This may be cancelled by you at any time.  If you wish to cancel your new member subscription within the 14 days cooling off period, you must notify us within these fourteen working days in writing by letter or e-mail to be eligible for a refund.  If you wish to cancel after this period, you will not be eligible for a refund.
If cancelling during the cooling off period and a welcome pack has been sent to you then this must be returned to us.  The cost of postage and packing for the return of the welcome pack will be at your own expense and will not be reimbursed by The IBS Network. 


Promotional offers
Any promotional offers will be subject to The IBS Network terms and conditions.  
By becoming a member of The IBS Network you are agreeing to our terms and conditions of use as outlined above.
